Cinemark Summer Movie Clubhouse
I hate paying full price for my kids to see movies. One reason is Sawyer, Ruby's little brother who's 2.5 yrs old sometimes decides he's finished with the movie before the previews are finished. Ahhh, money well spent.
So, I thought I'd share- Kids movies for only $1 ?! What?! No, I'm not kidding. Every summer Cinemark shows fun films for kids from mid-June through August.
Some of you may be saying, "But my kids have already seen this one". Do you think they care? My kids have watched Nemo, Cars and High School Musical over 100 times each (I don't think I'm exagerating either) . . . . they get to GO to the movies, they'll be stoked whether they've seen it or not!
Below is the schedule. All movies are either G or PG. Shows start at 10:00 am
June 17 & 18- Space Chimps
June 24 & 25- Star Wars: Clone Wars
July 1 & 2- Daddy Day Care
July 8 & 9- Pippi Longstocking (Ruby was actually Annika through the pregnancy- then we changed names at the last minute)
July 15 & 16- Igor
July 22 & 23- Horton Hears a Who
July 29 & 30- Kung Fu Panda
August 5 & 6- The Tale of Despereaux
August 12 & 13- Madagascar 2
August 19 & 20- Kit Kittredge

What are you Doing for Mother's Day?
First of all, Happy Mother's Day! I hope you a have a wonderful day and enjoy the extra attention that comes your way today.
We decided that we are going to go to Gauche Water Park today. I know what you're thinking, I'm not really excited on getting my butt into a bathing suit either but Gauche is really fun for my whole family. We plan on spending most Wednesday's there this summer (Ty will be working the store those days).
At Gauche Water Park for Mother's Day-
Moms will get in free, with a paid admission, Sunday at Gauche Aquatic Park in Yuba City to celebrate Mother's Day, part of the park's weekend opening for the season.
Starting this weekend the park at 421 C St. is open from noon to 2:30 p.m. and 3:30 to 6 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. Admission is $4 per session; and $3 for ages 2 years and under and 60 and over.
The weekend weather forecast calls for highs in the low to mid-80s.
Children 11 years and under must be accompanied by someone at least 16 years old.
The park's features include a 25-foot waterslide, a competitive pool with diving boards, a "Sprayground" with shooting water features, an activity pool and a full concession stand.
Weekday hours start May 26, with the park open from 3:30 to 6 p.m.
The water park will be in full summer hours June 6 to Sept. 13, from noon to 2:30 p.m. and 3:30 to 6 p.m. daily.
Adult lap swim, water walking and masters swimming, along with swim lessons are also available at the park.
Special events planned during the summer include Kids Swim for 6- to 10-year-olds; Tot Time for infants to 5 years; diving for ages 8 years and up; and twilight swimming.
The park will also feature movies and concerts.

Amanda Marian Photography at Ruby Q's
If you've been inside Ruby Q's lately you'll notice some beautiful photographs of children are now decorating some of our walls. These gorgeous pictures were done Amanda Marian (who lives and works in Gridley). For those of you who have not had the chance to have Amanda take photographs of your family, your chance is coming up!
Saturday, June 13th from 10-3 Amanda will be taking photographs using Ruby Q's brick walls as a great backdrop. This is a wonderful opportunity to stop by and visit Ruby Q's, along with getting Amanda to shoot your child/children with NO Sitting fee!
